The purpose of this compliance statement is to formally document and communicate Telmar’s Pb free solder (lead free solder) and RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous substances) requirements.
The intended audience for this communication includes component suppliers, distributors and other suppliers who provide components and/or assemblies to Telmar or to third parties who provide services for Telmar products.
With limited exceptions, Telmar furnished products are covered by the RoHS exemption for an indefinite period of time. It is our intention however, to work with our supply chain to eliminate restricted substances, (Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), as required by our customers.
Telmar is committed to comply with all applicable and necessary procedures, guidelines and process changes to comply with the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive [2002/95/EC] for those products put on the market in the European Union (EU) effective 1 July 2006.
This Directive applies to electrical and electronic products placed on the EU market after 1 July, 2006, with various exemptions, including an exemption for lead solder in network infrastructure equipment. Telmar products shipped to the EU after 1 July 2006 will comply with the RoHS Directive.
Telmar will provide timely and accurate responses to our customers on component inquires that are required for their products to help them to manage compliance.
Telmar is committed to complying with the RoHS directive while continuing to provide the quality and reliability that our customers have come to expect!
